1.1 I am pleased that you are visiting my website and thank you for your interest. In the following, I inform you about how your personal data is handled when you use our website. Personal data refers to all data that can be used to personally identify you.

1.2 The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is NAME, ADDRESS, Leipzig, Germany, Tel.: PHONE, E-mail: EMAIL.
The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of processing personal data.

1.3 For security reasons and to protect the transmission of personal data and other confidential content (e.g. inquiries sent to the controller), this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the character string “https://” and the lock symbol in your browser’s address bar.

2) Data Collection When Visiting Our Website

When you use my website purely for informational purposes — that is, if you do not register or otherwise provide information — I only collect the data that your browser transmits to my server (so-called server log files). When you access my website, I collect the following data, which are technically necessary to display the website to you:

  • The website visited
  • Date and time of access
  • Amount of data transmitted in bytes
  • Source/referrer from which you arrived at the page (if applicable)
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used (if applicable: in anonymized form)

Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR based on my legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of my website. The data will not be disclosed or otherwise used. However, I reserve the right to subsequently review the server log files if there are specific indications of unlawful use.

3) Cookies

To make visiting my website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, I use so-called cookies on various pages. These are small text files that are stored on your device. Some of the cookies I use are deleted after the end of your browser session, i.e. after closing your browser (session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and allow me or our partner companies (third-party cookies) to recognize your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies).

When cookies are set, certain user information such as browser and location data as well as IP address values are collected and processed to a varying extent. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may differ depending on the cookie.

Where personal data are processed by individual cookies implemented by me, processing takes place either pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR for the performance of a contract, or pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR to safeguard my legitimate interests in ensuring the best possible functionality of the website and a customer-friendly, effective user experience.

I may work with advertising partners who help me make my online offerings more interesting for you. For this purpose, cookies from partner companies (third-party cookies) may also be stored on your hard drive when you visit my website. When I cooperate with such advertising partners, you will be informed individually in the sections below about the use of such cookies and the scope of the data collected.

Please note that you can configure your browser to inform you when cookies are set, allowing you to decide individually whether to accept them, or to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general. Each browser differs in how it manages cookie settings. This is described in the help menu of each browser, which explains how you can change your cookie settings.

Please be aware that if you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited.

4) Contact

When contacting us (e.g. via email), personal data are collected. Which data are collected when using a contact form is indicated in the respective contact form. These data are stored and used exclusively for the purpose of responding to your inquiry or for establishing contact, and for the technical administration related to it.

The legal basis for the processing of these data is our legitimate interest in responding to your request in accordance with Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. If your contact is aimed at concluding a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR. Your data will be deleted once your inquiry has been fully processed. This is the case if it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively resolved and provided that there are no legal retention obligations to the contrary.

5) Rights of the Data Subject

5.1 Under applicable data protection law, you have the following rights vis-à-vis the controller with regard to the processing of your personal data (rights of access and intervention), with references to the relevant legal basis for each right:

  • Right of access pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR;
  • Right to rectification pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR;
  • Right to erasure pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR;
  • Right to restriction of processing pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR;
  • Right to notification pursuant to Art. 19 GDPR;
  • Right to data portability pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR;
  • Right to withdraw consent granted pursuant to Art. 7 (3) GDPR;
  • Right to lodge a complaint pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR.

5.2 Right to Object

If I process your personal data on the basis of my overriding legitimate interest, you have the right, at any time and for reasons arising from your particular situation, to object to this processing with effect for the future.

If you exercise your right to object, I will stop processing the affected data. Further processing remains reserved, however, if I can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or if the processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

6) Duration of the Storage of Personal Data

The duration of the storage of personal data depends on the relevant legal basis, the purpose of processing, and—if applicable—on the respective statutory retention period (e.g. commercial and tax retention periods).

When personal data are processed based on express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR, these data are stored until the data subject withdraws their consent.

If statutory retention periods apply to data processed within the scope of contractual or quasi-contractual obligations pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR, these data will be routinely deleted after the expiry of the retention periods, provided they are no longer required for the performance of a contract or the initiation of a contract, and/or there is no legitimate interest on our part in further storage.

When personal data are processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR, these data will be stored until the data subject exercises their right to object under Art. 21 (1) GDPR, unless I can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override the interests, rights, and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

When personal data are processed for direct marketing purposes on the basis of Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR, these data will be stored until the data subject exercises their right to object under Art. 21 (2) GDPR.

Unless otherwise specified within this statement regarding specific processing situations, stored personal data will be deleted once they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed.
